Club Info

General info for entering club competitions - sizes/names/distribution

Receiving, collating and processing submissions for the various Club competitions takes up a good deal of various Committee Members' time - please ensure submissions are sent to the club's email address and correctly formatted:

Sizes

Digitally Projected Images (DPI). Images must be resized to a maximum of 1600 pixels wide and/or 1200 pixels high.
Thus landscape-oriented images must be no more than 1600 pixels wide, portrait-oriented images must be no more than 1200 pixels high and square images must be a maximum of 1200 x 1200 pixels.

Names

1. Open, British Wildlife and External Competitions
The image file is to be named with the member's number followed by the image title, so the filename will look like 09 Sunset.jpg. In the file's properties/details panel, the 'Title' field should be the image title only, (e.g. Sunset) and in the 'Author' field just the member number (e.g. Member 09).
2. DPI versions of Prints
The image file is to be named with the member's number followed by the image title, so the filename will look like 09 Sunset.jpg. In the properties/details panel, the 'Title' field should be image title only, (e.g. Sunset) and the 'Author' field in this instance should state the member's full name name (e.g. Jane Doe).
3. Internal Competitions (Judged by KDCC members)
The image file is to be named with the image title only, so the filename will look like Sunset.jpg. In the properties/details panel, the 'Title' field should be image title only, (e.g. Sunset) and in the 'Author' field must state the member's full name (e.g. Jane Doe).

Distribution

Members should send DPI entries for all competitions as an email attachment, together with a note of their name and individual entry titles, submitted by the competition entry deadline.
DPI versions of print entries should be sent as a separate email before the competition date.
Entries for internal competitions should be sent as an email attachment, again by the competition entry deadline.
The title of each email should state what the entry is, eg Wildlife Flora DPIs or 1st Open Print DPIs or Knockout entries.
